A message from GLAAD: South Dakota needs you

Yesterday, South Dakota’s legislature passed a mean-spirited and destructive bill targeting transgender youth. The bill, which will now be sent to the governor for signing, forces transgender students to use separate bathrooms and locker rooms, potentially exposing them to bullying, harassment, and isolation.

This is unacceptable, and we won’t stand for it.

This bill would stigmatize transgender students and force many to out themselves by being made to use separate facilities.

No young person should have a target put on their back by their state government. Transgender students deserve to be treated with the same respect as all others.

Take action now and join us in signing the ACLU’s petition urging Gov. Daugaard to veto this bill.

Together, we can make a difference.

Zeke Stokes

Vice President of Programs

  1. Where will these body-phobics be when a transgender teen is identified then bullied to suicide? It will happen.
But, they are republicans who only believe what Faux News tells them to believe. To them, Trans=gay=deserve to die.

But, then, they are also republicans. Who won’t appropriate any money that doesn’t enrich their patrons.
