A message from GLAAD in the U.S.: Good news and bad news

Hi Jillian,

Last night, South Dakota Governor Dennis Daugaard vetoed a harmful bill that would have banned transgender students from using the bathrooms or locker rooms that align with their gender identity. That was a huge win for LGBT people!

But there’s still over 100 anti-LGBT bills being introduced in state legislatures in 2016, and the attacks just keep on coming. Anti-LGBT activists are obsessed with trying to walk back progress for LGBT people.

Right now, the Georgia legislature is dangerously close to passing a bill that would give taxpayer-funded organizations the right to discriminate against LGBT people, unmarried couples, women, racial minorities, religious minorities, people living with disabilities, and more.

We need your help to accelerate acceptance in Georgia. Share this message and tell Georgia legislators to stand on the right side of history by voting against discrimination.

Thanks for doing your part,

Sarah Kate Ellis
